Honestly why is the viewings so important…? Viewings mainly reflect the level of exposure and promotion and trending. That's why newer groups would inevitably have higher viewings than the older groups. And it's natural for the older groups to becoming less popular to the public and the casual listeners, especially for girl groups and if there is any alleged scandal. .. But I know that RV still sold well as a group and for individual member even after a decade in the industry. And they still have a solid fandom worldwide which could enable them to hold tour concerts. And this song also performs pretty well in Melon and Spotify.. It even got a music show win. There are some groups having huge number of views but no solid core fanbase and now are virtually irrelevant…I think the "real popularity" is not defined by viewings but on how many people is willing to "pay" for your music and performance and the size of core fanbase. Sometimes I am frustrated that many people just use viewings as criterion to rank groups. I consider the ranking and legacy of the groups should be determined by the criteria like streaming, digital and physical album sales, music show wins, official fandom size, and cultural impact on K-pop. If really have to compare, the comparison should be made horizontally as the K-pop market has been expanded much from around 2015 up to present. RV is definitely one of the most successful and influential K-pop group ever. Simply put, no need to care too much about viewing and trending at this stage of their career. It's a blessing to fans that they still have group activities and releasing albums.
