With non stop cold fronts and no down time, apologies as this episode is out of sync and should have been launched before the forecast came out. Time pressure got the better of me and I needed to get the forecast out quickly due to its ever changing nature hence the build progress is out of wack.
Apologies but after the best June in memory the entire J Bay surf community is flat done and exhausted. I was so far behind on the edits so waves go unridden due to pure exhaustion. As the best month of surf in many years comes to an end we turn our attention to the long awaited return of the full WSL to J Bay. Im sure all surfers are looking forward to some proper competition on the best right hand surf break on the planet. Everyone here is stoked to see the best back in J Bay again and Im sure the pro’s are happy too. The long term forecast looks good and fingers crossed mother nature delivers as J Bay certainly deserves a rousing welcome back!!

Howzit Trevor. What an awesome Chanel. I am coming up to JBay from Cape Town. Hope to bump into you and say howzit. Do you think the contest will run on Friday and saturday. I am trying to figure out which 5 days to come up for. Planning on coming up Friday 11 and leaving on Thursday 17. Hope I get the whole event.

Nice work champ.
Just a idea, but something i saw in zambia years back,.
They used green shade net and spread it over the slopes ,helped plants and sand from washing away

Absolutely love your channel Trevor, thanks for sharing your experiences.
Love your channel and your stoke my friend ! I am a lifelong surfer from the East coast of the US, but I am also a cancer survivor and can't surf anymore due to complications from the cancer. So I live vicariously through various surf vlogs these days (I am 66). Thank you so much for the great content ! Go catch an epic J Bay wave for me – that would make me VERY happy ! P.S. I am pulling hard for Jordy to take this one and win a World Championship – he has been surfing great this year and totally deserves to finally win one !
Where does all the sand go when these big swells arrive or even the spring tides?
Regarding the sand, there is no quick fix. Long term planning is needed at the right time.
